My mother made the double chocolate version of this cake for us after Will was born (chocolate cake mix instead of yellow, and 3-4 Tbsp. of cocoa to the filling). She cut it into squares, wrapped each one individually in wax paper and foil, and froze them. All I had to do was take a piece or two out and let it thaw a little bit before eating. It was the perfect quick chocolate fix. And I have made it many times since.
