Alton's Dry Rub.

While the recipe below uses standard tablespoon & teaspoon measurements, the recipe only requires the use of "parts." Any measuring device will do, as long as you maintain the proper ratio: 8:3:1:1. Eight parts light brown sugar, 3 parts kosher salt, 1 part chili powder, and 1 part of your choosing. Alton uses several ingredients to achieve a 1-part measurement.

8 tablespoons light brown sugar, tightly packed
3 tablespoons kosher salt
1 tablespoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/2 teaspoon jalapeno seasoning
1/2 teaspoon Old Bay Seasoning
1/2 teaspoon rubbed thyme
1/2 teaspoon onion powder

Alton is THE MAN. So far I have the first 10 seasons of his show. In hindsight, I don't think there has been anything I have made based on his recipes that has come close to failing. What can you say, the man is awesome. Can't wait for Feasting on Waves.
